I currently have two open PhD positions. One focuses on the link between network science and machine learning. Many methods for machine learning on networks exist. Some of them seem to work extremely well in practice, but do not have a strong theoretical foundation. Can we prove what these machine learning algorithms do on networks where we know what the outcome should be? This position is flexible, and could also be changed into a 3-year Postdoc. If you are interested in this position, feel free to contact me for more details.
Another PhD position is on complex networks for chemical reaction networks. The full vacancy details can be found here.
